The National Disaster Management Network of Nepal (DiMaNN) participated in the Asian Disaster Reduction and Response Network (ADRRN) Annual General Meeting and the Asia & Pacific Regional Humanitarian Partnership Week (RHPW) 2025, held in Bangkok. Mr. Daya Sagar Shrestha, Executive Committee Member of DiMaNN, represented the organization at these important regional events.
The gatherings brought together disaster risk reduction (DRR) and humanitarian leaders from across the Asia–Pacific region to strengthen collaboration, enhance partnerships, and shape the future resilience agenda.
During the ADRRN Annual General Meeting, DiMaNN presented the progress and key learnings from the Maithali Water: Community-Led Resilience and Water Resource Management Project, implemented in Janakpur, Nepal, with support from ADRRN–SIDRRA. The presentation highlighted the project’s community-driven approach to improving water access, increasing water availability for marginalized communities, enhancing local resilience, and strengthening grassroots disaster risk reduction efforts in drought-affected areas.
At RHPW, DiMaNN emphasized the importance of elevating local concerns and community knowledge from member organizations to the regional platform—grounded in community wisdom, respectful partnerships, transparency, and strong Asia–Pacific solidarity. The organization showcased the contributions of local civil society groups working in disaster risk reduction, disaster management, and climate change.
DiMaNN expressed its commitment to continued learning, sharing local knowledge globally, and deepening cooperation across the region to build a more resilient future.
