Background: DiMaNN regularly hosts interaction and sharing meetings at the provincial and national levels to strengthen coordination between its member organizations and other key stakeholders involved in disaster management.

Objective: To provide a platform for member organizations to share experiences, best practices, and challenges related to disaster management, and to enhance collaboration across sectors.

Activities:

• Provincial and national meetings were organized twice a year, bringing together representatives from government agencies, NGOs, and civil society organizations.
• Each meeting featured presentations from member organizations, group discussions, and strategy sessions focused on improving disaster response mechanisms.
• These meetings also served as a platform to advocate for policy changes and resource allocation to strengthen disaster resilience.

Outcome: The meetings fostered stronger relationships between member organizations and other stakeholders. They also led to the development of a joint advocacy strategy for more robust disaster management policies at the provincial and national levels.

Impact:

• Several policy recommendations from these meetings were incorporated into the national disaster risk reduction plan.
• Improved coordination and communication during emergencies, as evidenced by the response to the 2023 flash floods in Province 2.
